Harvested from the Dartmoor Valley, Hawke’s Bay, this is Mendoza Chardonnay, winemakers preferred clone. Barrel fermentation with French oak along with lees stirring has built depth, texture and power.
This is a very plush Chardonnay, with a beautifully aromatic lifted bouquet of sweet citrus blossom, white peach, apricot and cashew nut. The palate is intense with focused ripe citrus and stone fruit, along with nutty hazelnut and nuances of vanillin oak. The mid-palate is seamlessly textured and smooth with rich buttery complexity.
