Quick Overview

The nose is gently fragrant, displaying pineapple, grapefruit and fresh autumnal apples.   The palate is predominantly tropical fruits. There is a touch of green grass and rubbed herbs, and a hint of red currant also.  Restrained acids balance the medium weight and creamy texture.   Lemon zest and pink grapefruit settle agreeably on the medium length finish.

Region:
Marlborough

Winemaker:
Adam Hazeldine

Recommended Food:
It works well with a white meat dish. Great with oysters or a green salad.

Recommended Cellaring:
Best enjoyed while young.

Production Notes:
After harvest the grapes were quickly crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks where the juice was fermented at controlled cool temperatures to capture the intense varietal flavours.  The wine was then blended and bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Typically pungent with grapefruit, latana and blackcurrant.  The entry is sweet-fruited and juice with tropical fruits and blackcurrant.  Balance is fresh and lingering.

Awards:
4 STARS, Best Buy – Cuisine Magazine, Dec 2015 Issue

Reviews:
The wine is immediately appealing on the nose displaying grapefruit, peach, feijoa and herbaceous characters, followed by a lively palate that is pristine and flavoursome. Classically expressed and very appealing.
