TASTING NOTE

This superior wine was sourced from grapes grown on our Trust block (67%) and Mere Rd (33%) – two of our prestigious vineyards in the renowned Gimblett Gravels.  The vineyards are sited on prime gravel soils ideally suited to this rising-star variety. After an exceptional growing season where conditions were ideal, we harvested fruit of unsurpassed quality at around 21.3o Brix After a three day cold soak to extract important colour and flavour components, the must was fermented in stainless steel vats before being pressed off skins.  The wine was aged for twelve months in quality French (73%) and American (27%) oak. The wine was egg white fined, then filtered just before bottling in early July 2014, under Stelvin screw cap.
